Starting Out Young
Johnny performing at the age of 5. When he was around 5 years old he had a handful of puppets and his Dad had a little puppet stage made for him by a friend of his. It had a little stool built in and a shelf for puppets. When family or friends would come over his parents would have him perform. This was the cornerstone of our ministry today.

First Professional Vent Figure "Walt"
Johnny got his first professional figure from Maher when he was 14. He started out with a cheaper Danny O'Day figure. He started doing shows in churches with the Danny O'Day figure and later his Father purchased a professional Vent. His Father was a great supporter in Johnny's ministry. He believed in God and He believed in Johnny. Johnny's Dad also bought Johnny various magic tricks from an Addams Catalog to help him broaden his ministry ablility.
Even though Johnny's figure, "Walt" is old and brittle Johnny still performs with Walt using caution when handling.
